If you start eating more avocados, garlic, fish, and rhubarb, your triglyceride level is guaranteed to fall. It is also a good idea to substitute olive oil for vegetable oil when cooking. One diet to try is the "Rice diet:, in this diet, you are to eat nothing but rice and fruit, these foods have barely any fat, which means barely any triglycerides.

To lower your triglyceride level, try fasting, dieting, exercising, refraining from drinking alcohol, cut back caffeine intake, and stop eating junk foods. Normal triglyceride levels range between 40 and 250 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl), levels of 250 mg/dl to 500 mg/dl are considered to be bordeline or at risk, and levels over 500 mg/dl are considered high.To make sure you're safe, try to keep your triglyceride level below 150 mg/dl.
